Description: An isochoric process, also called a constant-volume process, an isovolumetric process, or an isometric process, is a thermodynamic process during which the volume of the closed system undergoing such a process remains constant. An isochoric process is exemplified by the heating or the cooling of the contents of a sealed, inelastic container: The thermodynamic process is the addition or removal ...

Description: The quality or state of being isochoric. 2015, Gustavo C. Buscaglia, “Continuous and discrete inf-sup conditions for surface incompressibility of a deformable continuum”, in arXiv[1]: The result is also shown to hold in combination with the additional constraint of preserving the enclosed volume, or isochoricity

Description: An isochoric process in the context of thermodynamics is a term used to describe a situation where the volume of a system remains constant. This process is modelled on a pressure volume diagram (PV diagram) as seen in Figure 1. For this process to be possible, the ideal gas must be in a rigid container that doesn't change in volume or let any molecules escape.
